I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My
name is Keith Cormier, I am 25 years old and I am from Moncton, New Brunswick. I
have been a member of the New Brunswick SportFishing Association since 1998. The
NBSFA hosts competitive bass tournaments from May-October here in New Brunswick.
I began tournament bass fishing at the age of 16 and have been fishing
competitively ever since. I currently fish with my father as a team on the NBSFA
tournament trail. I am also a member of the NBSFA's Board of Directors and work
various boat and outdoor shows here in New Brunswick on behalf of the NBSFA.
Here are some highlights of my fishing career thus far in New Brunswick:
o During my 2nd year tournament bass fishing in 1999, I placed 3rd
overall in our Championship. I also had a 7th and two 6th place finishes during
the season.
o In 2001 I won my first bass tournament. I also had a 3rd and 9th place
finish followed by a 9th place finish in the Championship
o In 2003 I won my second event and followed that with a 3rd place
finish. I also placed 10th at the Championship
o In 2004 I had a 3rd, 4th, 8th, and 6th place finish. I then placed 2nd
at our Championship
o In 2005 I won the Championship. I also had a 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, and
9th place finish throughout the year. This was my best year so far.
o In 2007 I won our season opener. I also had a 5th, 7th, 8th, and 9th
place finish. I then placed 11th at the Championship.
In 2008 I plan on taking my fishing career further. I am currently in the
planning stages of fishing the FLW Bass Fishing League tournament trail in NY as
a Pro. I will be covering many miles to attend these events which will benefit
any sponsors I have during this venture. I am a very outgoing individual who
enjoys meeting new people everywhere I go. Throughout my year's tournament
fishing I've learned that anglers and spectators only want to know one thing...
what the winning anglers are using to win tournaments. I want to win tournaments
for you and help promote your products.
Besides the FLW Tour, I will still be competing here in New Brunswick during the
2008 season. I am also planning to compete in some events on the World Fishing
Network's Tour Bass Championships in Ontario, Canada (www.wfn.tv/2008basstour).
